Union Pacific Big Boy

This photo was taken by Otto Perry in 1941.

My favorite steam engine is the Union Pacific Big Boy. They were built between 1941 and 1944. Only twenty-five were built.
They were the largest and fastest steam engines ever made.

This is golden model of the Union Pacific Big Boy.

Union Pacific Big Boy 4004 in Wyoming. Photograph taken by Stan Kistler in 1958.

This is what the inside of the cab and the opening of the firebox in a Big Boy looks like.

My favorite train.
